Improvements to Infrastructure and New Buildings.
we are in the planning,
design or construction stage for several significant capital projects that promise to
generate millions of dollars into the local economy, particularly within the construction
industry. Along with $10.3 million in improvements to our aging infrastructure, these
projects include a new Health and wellness facility at our eastern Campus, a new
Learning resource Center and the addition of a renewable energy/STeM Center at
the Michael J. Grant Campus, and a new Science and Technology Building on the
Ammerman Campus.
is past year, we unveiled the new Student Success Center at our eastern Campus.
is Center provides students with access to student support services in a convenient
central location. Previously, students had to visit several different offices in order to
meet with college representatives about financial aid, registration, counseling and
advising. e new Student Success Center is a high-tech, high-touch space that
appeals to today’s tech savvy students who are used to digital displays and self-help
kiosks. e Center reflects the shared campus vision for student service cross training
through multiple departments. e single point of service has made all transactions
easier and more efficient for students

of the Central Pine Barrens Joint Planning and Policy Commission. e information
and the legal argument we made were then considered by the Commissioners. in
the spring, we received official correspondence stating that the Commission had
determined that our proposal was a non-development activity.
e only new capital project we advanced this year, was our proposed renewable
energy/STeM Center. is state-of-the-art 25,000 square-foot facility will allow
Long island’s best and brightest minds to apply their knowledge of science,
