ELECTRONICS TRAINING
A great class for the beginner just starting out in the field, or for current technicians looking to
branch out into electrical diagnosis. Learn how electric circuits in an automobile work through
lecture and lab experiences. Emphasis is on learning circuit behavior and use of digital test
meters. Students will practice building and testing circuits on project boards. Series and
parallel circuitry will be covered as well as beginning diagnostic strategy. Students may bring
their own meters. However, class meters will be available. (2 meetings)

A great follow-up to Introduction to Specialized Automotive Electronics Training for the person
looking to improve their automotive electrical troubleshooting skills. This lecture/lab course
focuses on reading wiring diagrams (schematics) and effective diagnostic strategies for use
with various automotive electrical accessories. Students will build on skills covered in the
introductory course by testing and diagnosing electrical circuits on shop cars, using online
service information and test equipment. All equipment will be provided. However, students are
encouraged to bring their own digital test meters and test lights. (5 meetings)
