This course is designed to provide college STEM students the basics of organic chemistry.

Topics to be covered include organic acid/base chemistry, functional groups, molecular orbital

theory, Lewis structures, valence shell electron pair repulsion theory (VSEPR), hybridization

theory, resonance, and organic nomenclature. These topics will provide students with a basic
