require job-entry skills. For this reason, we have arranged to offer a select group of classes
under a special fee arrangement. Visit
sunysuffolk.edu/ContinuingEdOur culinary art courses provide the best hands-on experience with our skilled chefs. Many of
our classes have a seat limit of 12 to 16 students allowing for personalized instruction.
Tired of the old dinner and a movie? Time to re-invigorate date night? Cooking together can add
a whole new dimension to your relationship! We are launching a series of date night cooking
classes for couples of all kinds. If you are two people, you are a couple. These courses make
terrific gift ideas for birthdays and anniversaries. Classes are limited to 8 couples. This fun,
casual evening is designed to provide a basic level of culinary education. We will start with
a review of the three course dinner menu and two paired wines. Then, our Culinary Arts and
Hospitality Program faculty chef will demonstrate how to make each course, in very basic terms.
Couples will then break off to their own kitchen stations and prepare each course as instructed,
with chef supervision for hands-on learning. After preparing their own dinner, all of the couples
will enjoy their dinner together, with a glass of wine paired with the appetizer as well as the
entrée. This class is designed for the home cook to be able to reproduce the meal at home.
Basic kitchen clean-up is required, but no washing dishes or pots!
