POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Full Time Preschool Teacher - Campus Kids Children’s Learning Center at Suffolk County Community College - Ammerman Campus.  42 week position Mon. – Fri. 7:30-3:30

Job Description:

 

  1. Plan, supervise, and implement the Children’s Learning Center program in accordance with professional standards, policies and philosophy of the Center under direction of the Director.
  2. Structure the program to the needs, interests, special talents, individual styles and rates of learning of the individual children.
  3. Coordinate the intern program with the Early Childhood advisor; participate in the training and evaluation of student teachers.
  4. Maintain a positive liaison with the parents of the children.
  5. Attend staff meetings and training program, conferences and courses as required for licensing regulations
  6. Attend staff meetings and training program, conferences and courses related to the young child.
  7. Other duties as assigned by the Director.

 



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field. Minimum of five (5) years working as a Preschool Teacher in a licensed child care program. Knowledge of the High Scope Curriculum.



HIRING SALARY:

 

The exact salary will be determined by prior experience and placement on the salary scale neogitated by SCCC Association.
