| POSITION DESCRIPTION: | Day, Evening and Saturday Classes SUNY Suffolk is searching for in-person Adjunct Instructors in Construction Technology beginning in the Fall 2026 semester to teach classes at the Ammerman Campus in Selden, NY. SUNY Suffolk is a comprehensive community college committed to open access, equity, and student success, and candidates for adjunct faculty positions should be prepared to demonstrate their commitment to these values.
Instructors must have a Civil Engineering, Architectural or Construction Management background to teach one of the following courses: Surveying, Statics, Strength of Materials, Construction Methods, Print Reading for Construction, Estimating and Scheduling, Green Building Principles and Professional Practices in the Construction Industry. |
| MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: | MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: · Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, architecture, architectural technology, or construction management. · Master’s degree in civil engineering, architecture, architectural technology, construction management or Professional Engineer (PE), Architectural Registration (RA) license, or Land Surveyor (LS). · Two (2) years of recent relevant professional experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: · Teaching experience at the college level. · Proficiency with AutoCAD version 2023 or newer for 2D drafting. · Proficiency with Revit version 2023 or newer for 3D modeling. · LEED AP or GA.

| HIRING SALARY: | This is a Unit III position covered under the Faculty Association of Suffolk County Community College collective bargaining agreement with the college. |
