POSITION DESCRIPTION: | Suffolk County Community College is an open admissions institution committed to serving a diverse student population in a variety of degree and career programs. It is the largest community college in the State University of New York (SUNY) system, enrolling more than 21,000 students at its three campuses in Selden, Brentwood, and Riverhead, as well as a Culinary Arts Center in downtown Riverhead.
Announcement is hereby made for a full-time, 12-month Assistant Director of Infrastructure Services position beginning immediately. This is a Guild (Unit 4) position, and, as such, the salary and benefits for this position are determined according to the salary and benefits plan for the Guild of Administrative Officers.
The Assistant Director of Infrastructure Services will work with and lead a team responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the Infrastructure for Suffolk County Community College. This team is also responsible for all services related to the phone system including voicemail, and call queues. Other responsibilities of the team include computer operations, management of the power systems sustaining the voice systems, management of the voice data center and virtual environment. In addition, the Assistant Director of Infrastructure Services will be expected to display a commitment to undergraduate and/or graduate education, and possess communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with an increasingly diverse array of students and colleagues. The Assistant Director of Infrastructure Services will lead team members in the mission of the Department, the overall ITS structure and the college.
