Non-Degree Students
Please complete the following steps to apply as a non-degree student:
Step 1 - Non-Degree Student Application Procedure
Your first step in entering Suffolk County Community College (SCCC) as a non-degree student is to fill out and submit the: Non-Degree Student Application Form
Non-degree students are eligible to take credit-bearing classes without being admitted to a degree program. (If you wish to apply to a specific degree program, please visit Admissions.)
If applying online, please allow one to two business days for your information to be processed prior to registering. After waiting one to two business days, please access the student portal at: mysccc.sunysuffolk.edu to: (1) establish your portal User ID and pass word, and (2) activate your email. After establishing this information, you will be able to register. If applying in person, please print and complete the printable form.
Currently and previously enrolled students may register immediately online at MySCCC or in person.
Step 2 - Meningitis Form
Per NY State Immunization Law, all students who are enrolled in credit-bearing courses must complete the Meningitis Acknowledgment Form in order to register. Failure to complete this form will result in a Meningitis hold being placed on your record which will prevent registration.
Please submit the Health History and Meningitis Acknowledgement Form to the Health Services office on your home campus. For more information, please see the Meningitis Requirements.

Your Social Security Number is used to coordinate the collection of information for all your student records. Authority to collect the Social Security Number is granted under Section 355 of the New York Education Law.

Complete the Prerequisite Waiver Request Form and submit to one campus only:

Every semester, a non-degree student needs to re-submit their unofficial transcript with the Prerequisite Waiver form.
