MATTACE: Okay, Resolution Number 13 2008.37 Adopting a Local Preference Policy. 14 Whereas, the College acts as an 15 economic engine for the County of Suffolk 16 and the region, and Whereas, the College 17 seeks to stem the "brain drain" from the 18 County of Suffolk by developing and 19 promoting business opportunities, and 20 Whereas, awarding contracts to be local 21 consultants when in the best interests of 22 the College helps to achieve these goals, be 23 it, therefore, RESOLVED, that the Local 24 Preference Policy (Attachmet1) is hereby 25 adopted for immediate implementation. 1 - Board of Trustees Meeting - 5 2 THE CHAIRMAN: Second on that motion. 3 MR.
