| POSITION DESCRIPTION: | The Vice President for Planning and Institutional Effectiveness reports to the Executive Vice President and is a member of the President’s Cabinet and Executive Council. The Vice President holds a highly visible leadership role and will provide overall leadership for institutional planning. Responsibilities of the Vice President for Planning and Institutional Effectiveness include the following:
1. Coordinate the planning, implementation and evaluation of the College’s Strategic Plan initiatives. 2. Facilitate the assessment of College outcomes with regard to mission and goals, leadership and governance, administrative structures and services, and institutional integrity. 3. Collaborate with the entire College community to establish priorities among College initiatives. 4. Engage faculty and staff in the planning and implementation phases of the College’s initiatives, recommending that appropriate resources are allocated to the planning and implementation phases and assessing progress continuously to monitor implementation schedules and issue progress reports. 5. Provide leadership in the facilitation and development of a College-wide assessment plan. 6. Oversee the integration of budget and strategic planning College-wide. 7. Serve as chairperson of the College Strategic Planning Council. 8. Manage the gathering and dissemination of information related to the efficient implementation of the College’s long‑range planning effort. 9. Evaluate and make recommendations on the College’s progress in its long‑range plan, including the implementation of the Master Plan and Middle States evaluation and recommendations. 10. Oversee the collection, organization, analysis and reporting of institutional data. 11. Lead the College’s environmental scanning processes, and establishment/evaluation of key performance indicators. 12. Serve as a principal member of the College’s accreditation team. 13. Provide support in the analysis and interpretation of student enrollment, retention data and student satisfaction levels. 14. Oversee the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, the office of the Director of Strategic Planning 15. Assume other related duties as assigned by the Executive Vice President of the College. |
| MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: | Ph.D. in a related field is preferred; a Graduate degree in a related field is required. Demonstrated expertise in current principles and procedures of higher education strategic planning, assessment, and data analysis are required. A minimum of five years of strategic planning and assessment experience; as well as successful tenure serving in a senior-level administrative role in higher education.
The New York State Retirement and Social Security Law requires retirees of a public pension plan within the State or City of New York to disclose prior public employment and pension plan history for the purpose of establishing a retiree's eligibility for employment. |
| HIRING SALARY: | As an exempt position, compensation will be based on the College's management salary scale. |
