Mailbox Tips Archive

Besides creating Personal folders for filing email items, an alternate method of keeping mail without using storage in your active mailbox is to archive mail items.

These items are stored in a folder on your hard drive and can be opened in Outlook

You cannot archive mail folders using OWA

To Archive folders in your mailbox to your hard drive:

Click the boxes to choose settings for your archiving of this folder.

Notice that the archive location is noted in the Move old items to:

Click OK when finished.

Click Apply these settings to all folders now if you wish to archive all mail folders.

Click on the folder

Tools>Options>Other>AutoArchive
