COLLEGE COMPUTING COUNCIL

Charge

The College Computing Council shall assess the use of current computer and telecommunications technology and recommend strategies for its effective use at the college. The council will:

a) collaborate with each campus technology committee to assess campus needs and provide the campuses with college-wide direction;

b) periodically review the state of the college with respect to technology, assessing staffing, equipment, utilization, and training, and provide recommendations to the Strategic Planning Council;

c) collect recommendations for college-wide technology projects and policies, and recommend priorities for the college’s strategic plan for technology;

d) recommend and oversee adopted college-wide computer, data and telecommunications policies, including policies for purchasing, access, and utilization;

e) oversee the implementation of college-wide data and communications projects as defined in the college’s technology plan, and;

f) collaborate with the Office of Computer and Information Systems on technology development.

Vice President for Business and Financial Affairs or designee
Associate Vice President for Campus Affairs
College Dean of Students
Associate Dean of Libraries
Associate Dean for Instructional Technology (Representing the Vice President for Academic Affairs)
Campus Technology Administrators (Representing each Office of the Campus/Executive Dean)
Assoc. Dean for Computing, Engineering & Industrial Technologies
The chair of each campus's computing committee
(6) Faculty members
- 2 Faculty member from each campus to include: representatives appointed by the Campus Dean and campus governance.
