A title provides supplementary information about links beyond what the link phrase
itelf. Use the TITLE attribute of the link. For example:
<a href="bobby.html" title="Bobby's Home
Page">Bobby</a> Rationale:
Supplementary information makes it easier to determine the purpose of a link. Link text
should be meaningful enough to make sense when read out of context, either on its own or
as part of a sequence of links. Link text should also be terse. |
