The location for the October 19, 2017 meeting of the College’s Board of Trustees has been changed to the new Learning Resource Center on the Michael J. Grant Campus and is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.

Suffolk Bowlers Are NJCAA Academic Champs

Suffolk County Community College’s Women’s Bowling Team has been honored by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) as one of the 2014-15 NJCAA Academic Teams of the Year.

Emily Clark of Port Jefferson Station; Emily Halbert of Islip; Jordan Kruger of East Islip; Brianna Meyer of Middle Island; Laura Molloy of St. James and Lena Sorrentino of East Islip were recognized for earning the highest grade-point average – a 3.37 -- in their respective sport and gender during the 2014-15 academic year.

Twelve awards were earned by men's programs and 13 by women's. Teams are required to compile at least a 3.0 grade-point average to be considered for the honor.
