The College’s Michael J Grant Campus in Brentwood has been selected as the venue for a speech by President Donald Trump on the subject of MS-13 gang violence, this coming Friday, July 28th. The speech will take place in the VanNostrand Theatre and is scheduled for Friday afternoon. Please note that the audience is restricted to invited members of law enforcement and the media, with all invitations being handled by the White House. Suffolk Welcomes Two After National Search

Suffolk County Community College President Dr. Shaun L. McKay welcomed two new members to the College academic and executive team after extensive national searches and introduced the pair at a recent Board of Trustees meeting. 

At left, Dr. McKay welcomes Dr. Suzanne M. Johnson as Vice President for Academic Affairs, and at right, P. Wesley Lundburg as Executive Dean of the Ammerman Campus. 

Dr. Johnson served  as the Interim President at Portland Community College’s Sylvania Campus in Portland, Oregon after spending much of her career at Dowling College. Dr. Johnson earned a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Stony Brook University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Ithaca College. 

P. Wesley Lundburg, a U.S. Coast Guard veteran, served as Dean of the New Bedford Campus of Bristol Community College in Fall River, Massachusetts after stints as an adjunct professor teaching developmental and English courses at the University of Alaska and gained progressive academic and administrative experience serving as Dean of Academic Affairs, Dean of Instruction, and Interim President and CEO at various institutions in Minnesota and Alaska.
